Your one-stop-swap to living a more circular life. Conscious Clothing is a platform created by two Edinburgh university students, Millie Field and Tatum Stiles, to facilitate clothes swapping. Currently the fashion industry is projected to be one of the biggest contributors to green house gases.
Conscious Clothing offers individuals an alternative and more eco-friendly solution to revamping their wardrobe, by keeping preloved clothes in circularity. Not only do they have an active swap shop over on their instagram, but they also provide non-stop resources, guides and tips to living more sustainably.

Hello! My name is Tatum. I have been living in Hong Kong for the majority of my life. In the past two years I have become passionate about sustainable fashion and educating myself and others on this crucial topic. Along with Millie, I wanted to create a community to share this information and educate others on all these things that I have learnt over the past few years and offer a space for people to consume with the planet in mind :)
Hi I’m Millie! I’ve always loved all things fashion and clothes related but lockdown proved a useful educational moment to reconsider some harmful habits I’d become so accustomed to. Our swap shop is the perfect solution to rehome your preloved clothes - especially with charity shops currently being shut and the difficulty of sometimes navigating platforms like Depop. We’ve managed to build an ever-growing community on Instagram, as well as in Edinburgh and beyond, and we are always excited by the prospect of encouraging others to try swapping too!
